Saretta Renee Wert, 82 passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tremont, PA where she had been a resident.
She was born in 1942, in Lewisville Pennsylvania to the late Ralph Ernest Wayne and Sarah E. Reed.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1956. Married in 1972, she was the wife of late Charles David Wert who passed on in October of 2024.
Saretta enjoyed music and singing and it is said that she could outrun her siblings as a kid. Later in life she loved to draw pictures, visit zoos, and play cards with her husband Charles.
She is survived by three daughters: Renee, wife of Barry Brill, of Narvon PA; Angie, wife of Drew Knott, of Milford DE; & Maria, wife of Michael Molnar, of Hegins PA; three sons: David Wert, husband of Holly, of Largo FL; Ralph Wert, of West Grove PA; & Alfred Brady, husband of Cherish, of Gap PA; & two sisters Sharon McDaniel; and Cheryl DiCicco; and 14 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, April 28th beginning with a time of visitation for friends and family from 1 – 2 pm on Monday, April 28th, the service will begin at 2 pm at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE. 19709. Inurnment in Townsend Cemetery will follow the service.
