Troy Andrew Wert, 49, of Paradise, entered into rest unexpectedly on Thursday, March 20, 2025, as the result of an accident at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Bonnie L. (Shaub) Glick and the late Jerry A. Wert. He was the stepson of the late Dale R. Glick. Troy was the adoring husband of Melissa Y. (Monk) Wert. They had been together for over 23 years.
Troy lived to support his wife and daughters. He was a fantastic host, known for his regular back yard barbecues with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved spending time at his pool, playing golf, hunting, fishing, and travelling with Melissa to tropical beach destinations like Jamaica and Siesta Key, Florida. Troy was employed by AMTRAK, where he enjoyed his job as a Foreman-Mentor.
In addition to his wife and mother, Troy is survived by his daughters, Samantha, wife of Justin Mills and Sarah Rose Wert. He was the proud grandpa of Ava and Easton Mills, and he will also be missed by his sister, Nichole, wife of Michael Whiteman; a stepbrother, Adam Glick; maternal grandmother, Patsy A. Shaub; father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Maryann Monk; and his two beloved dogs, Stella and Chance.
A service celebrating Troy's life will take place at Victory Church, 15 East 3rd St., Quarryville, PA on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. The family will greet friends at the church from 2:00-3:30 pm. Interment will be private.
