Saul Lara Obituary

Saul was born on February 16, 1974 in Monterrey, Mexico to Luciano Lopez Lara and Rosa Maria Lara Rangel. He was a mechanic and worked at Zoch Net for many years. Saul was well known for his joy in cooking for large groups. He assisted the Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department any time they needed him for cooking and mechanical work. Saul would stop what he was doing to repair vehicles for older family and friends in need and would not allow them to compensate him. He was truly at home outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle or working in the yard. Saul spent countless hours working to rebuild the family home after their loss due to a fire. Above all of this Saul loved spending time with his family and friends.
Saul passed away the afternoon of Monday, August 19, 2024 in Caldwell with his family by his side.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Lara Rangel; sister in law, Elizabeth Lara; grandparents, Saturnino and Inez Lara, and Jesus and Inez Rangel Espinoza.
Saul is survived by his wife Andrea Lara of Giddings; father, Luciano Lopez Lara of Bastrop; five children, Alexander and Charity Lara of Plainview, Sonny Lara of Plainview, Saul Jr. and Jadyn Lara of Giddings, Michael and Katherine Lara of Giddings, and Anastasia Lara and fiancé Marc Gonzales of Giddings; four grandchildren, Aleki Lara, Aleah Lara, Brooklyn Lara, and Braxson Lara all of Plainview; five siblings, Rosa and Frank Moreno of Euless, Jesus and Elvia Lara of Giddings, Tomas Lara of Killeen, Samanta and Chris Armendariz of Bastrop, and Luciano and Sulema Lara Rangel of Killeen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to Teen & Adult Life Challenge, or any alcohol recovery center of your choice.
