Savannah Ashlee Mason

Savannah Ashlee Mason, 23, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on April 24, 2025, in her hometown.
She was born on June 13, 2001, in Lafayette, Indiana, and lived a life full of compassion, curiosity, and connection with the natural world.
Savannah was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Mason, and her grandparents, Kenneth Mason and Clay and Eva Shumatt. She is survived by her loving stepmother, Cynthia Mason; her stepbrothers, Craig and Bryan, and their families; her grandmother, Bonnie Mason; her aunt, Pam Mason; her uncles DeWayne and Kenny Mason, and their families; her cousin, Briana Alvarez, and her family; and her devoted partner and roommate, Taylor Bromme.
Endlessly curious and remarkably intelligent, Savannah had a lifelong passion for learning. She would immerse herself in new interests-whether it was anthropology, astrophysics, cooking, gardening, or fashion-diving deep and soaking up everything she could. She loved to talk about big ideas, from human history to the mysteries of existence, and her conversations were filled with insight, wonder, and heart.
She had a deep love for the outdoors and was devoted to caring for the earth. She also found joy in reading and listening to music across many genres. As an assistant manager at Carter's, Savannah built strong, lasting friendships and brought kindness, warmth, and dedication to her work every day.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Soller-Baker Funeral Home in Lafayette, Indiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Savannah's bright mind, kind spirit, and endless curiosity made the world a better and more thoughtful place. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
