Scharm is survived by her daughter, Rachael (Patrick) Radtke, her mother Eileen Fodge, her sisters, Laurie Szucs and Stacy (Joe) Massow, her grandsons, Ethan and Ryan Radtke her many nieces and nephews, And her best friend Brent Stubel. She was preceded in death by her father, Gene and brother, Curtis.
Scharm moved to Florida where she met her husband, Steve and enjoyed fishing, cooking and visiting flea markets until Steve's passing in 2002.
Wanting to be closer to her family, especially her grandsons, she moved back to South Bend in 2006 and took a job with the South Bend community school corporation where she enjoyed spoiling all the kids before she retired in 2018.
Scharm was also a huge lover of Boston Terriers, most recently her girl Lily was her constant companion.
Cremation has taken place with a private celebration of life to come at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
