Massena: Scott M. Green, age 49, passed away on July 16, 2025, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Per Scott's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Phillips Memorial Home, in Massena.
Born on August 6, 1975, in Malone, Scott was the beloved son of Timothy J. and Lynne (LaDue) Douillet. He was a 1993 graduate of Norwood-Norfolk High School. Scott dedicated his life to caring for others, working as a caregiver and job coach with the Mental Health Independent Living Center (MILC), where he touched many lives with his compassion and support.
Scott had a generous and welcoming heart. Whether he was tending his garden or mowing the lawn, Scott found joy in the simple things and in caring for the people and world around him. With his love of helping people in need, Scott's final kind act, was to donate his life saving organs to be used by those in need.
Scott was predeceased by his husband, Robert Green; his brother, Travis; and his grandparents on both sides. He is survived by his loving parents, Timothy and Lynne Douillet, his brother Corey J. Douillet, his chosen sister Lisa M. Sprague along with many cousins, and friends and chosen family who will miss him deeply.
