Scott Robert Morris

Scott Morris, 28, of Destin, passed away on Nov. 28, 2024 leaving behind a world that's a little less bright for those who knew him and a lot less funny. Born Oct. 30, 1996 in Tucker, GA, raised in Louisville, KY, and a graduate of Choctawhatchee High School in 2015. Scott was passionate about all things automotive and found his niche employed at Preston Hood Chevrolet who nurtured him like family. Scott had a love for muscle cars, motorcycles, music, and cats although he was allergic. He had an unmatched knack for making others smile, finding memes, cracking jokes, listening, and helping others. He knew how to turn an ordinary day into something unforgettable. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend. Scott is known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and a heart as big as his personality.
He is predeceased by his grandfathers Scott Robert Jones and Robert Edward Abbott, Jr. and survived by his mother Andrea Lloyd of Destin, FL, father Eddy Morris (Leah) of Louisville, KY, sisters Tyler Morris of Pensacola, FL, Jessica Bennett of Barling, AR, Georji Morris of Louisville, KY and brothers Van and Waylon Morris of Louisville, KY, grandparents Karen Jones of The Villages, FL, Betty Abbott of Crossville, TN, Diane Jones of Windsor, CO, Edward and MaryBeth Morris of Louisville, KY, aunts and uncles Connie Joyner (Jeff), Brian Abbott, Challen Johnson (Jason), David Morris, and Mike Morris, and cousins Anna and Noah Johnson.

A celebration of life service will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home Sunday, Dec. 8th, 2024 at 10:00am with reception to follow.
