Scott Ryan Vickers, 45, was called home on March 28, 2024.
Born on April 30, 1978 in Stuart, Florida to Donald and Mary Vickers, he was lifetime resident of Okeechobee.
Scott was a truck driver by trade, but more importantly he was a daddy, a husband, a son, a brother and loyal friend. When he wasn't at work he could be found with his family, together they shared countless adventures and made a lifetime of memories. Anytime day or night he was always a phone call away, and willing to help others anyway he could. Scott meant so much to so many people, leaving behind a legacy which will never be forgotten.
At Heaven's gate he was reunited with his father, Donald Vickers; paternal grandparents, Joseph "Beanie" and Maggie Vickers; maternal grandparents, Jim and Ruthie Ammons and Amy "Toots" and Carroll Lunsford; love in-laws, John and Marilyn McLemore.
He will always be loved and remembered by his wife of 16 years, Katie Vickers; his children, Cameron, Hannah, Addison and Leland; mother, Mary (Bill) Wall; brother, James (Misty) Vickers; sister, Rachel (Timmy) Booth; nephews, Cory and Conner; niece, Megan; and lifelong friends, John Sales and Clay McGowen.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 2 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
