Sean Michael Foley was born on July 5, 1971 in Salt Lake City Utah to his loving, adoring parents, Timothy and Lorna Foley. From that day forward, Sean seized life and lived it with his whole heart.
Sean did everything with his whole heart. His career, which spanned from advertising sales, energy solutions and even a brief moment in the coffee industry, all the way to his favorite job in the Operating Room as a medical device representative.
He thrived in the OR and made deep connections with the nurses, PA's, Doctors and his co-workers. All of whom acutely feel the impact of Sean's absence. Sean loved and cherished each of you.
Sean loved his family with his whole heart. Family was his deepest passion. Spending time with them, enjoying experiences with them. This is what he lived for.
He was a funny, golden ray of sunshine in the middle of it all. Making everyone laugh with his fantastic way of making everything funny. His wit, his charm. His intelligence.
Tirelessly there for everyone, no questions asked. The helper. No grudge. Always leaving everyone and everything better than he found them. Sean was known for his unwavering loyalty. His love was unconditional, and eternal.
We lost Sean Michael Foley on June 6, 2025. Way too soon. He was 53 years old, just getting started.
He leaves us with happy, love-filled, laughter-filled memories. His bright happy smile forever held in our minds. And a gaping hole in our hearts.
He leaves behind his parents (Tim and Lorna), his brother (Casey), his sister in-law (Carly), his nephew (Julian), his niece (Vivienne), the love of his life (Angie) and so many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends who all loved him so much. All brokenhearted.
Sean also left behind his legacy-his love of life and everything outdoors.
Skiing (Snowbasin, his favorite escape) wakeboarding, surfing, skateboarding, jumping out of planes, hiking, paddle boarding, golfing, riding his motorcycle, and the gym.
He loved music, in it's many forms and genres and especially live concerts. Jimmy Buffet was a kindred spirit to Sean-his love of JB reflected in the "Parrot Head" tattoo he wore proudly. He also loved the Grateful Dead and enjoyed seeing them play live, often.
We would be remiss if we didn't give a shoutout, on Sean's behalf, to one of his favorite bands; The Young Dubliners! Who always humored Sean's request to say his name at their concerts.
He loved good food. Loved to cook. He was the "grill-master" of the family. We always turned to Sean for his excellent restaurant recommends.
He loved the beach and the ocean. The mountains, held a special place in his heart. He loved travel, adventure, explorations, new experiences. He cherished his epic trips to Disneyland with Angie.
This tribute to Sean, wouldn't be complete without mentioning his love for his sweet dog, Becker. Sean was an adoring "dog-dad" and took tender loving care of, lucky, Becker. Becker was an enormous part of Sean's life, and family.
They are together again. Their explorations and adventures resumed.
We will miss you, Sean. Your example of loving and living life to it's fullest. Your love of all things fun and exhilarating. Your brave ability to step out of your comfort zone for a thrill.
Your smile that could light up a room. Your grace. Your generosity (you shared everything with us, even your HBO account).
Your willingness to help at a moment's notice. Your ability to make us laugh at each other and ourselves. Your love. Your thoughtfulness and tenderness. Just knowing you were there.
We will miss scaring you-you were the best person on planet earth to scare, especially anything involving clowns.
We will miss the heated push-up and plank contests on the living room floor at family gatherings.
Your ability to make everything fun.
We will miss texting you the funny things we know you would love (and your commentary on them). We will miss exchanging Netflix, HBO and Peacock series recommends with you. We will miss calling you. Seeing you. Being with you. Saying your name.
We will miss your hugs and the kiss on top of our heads. The quiet, "love you."
Goodbye our sweet, boy. Our son, big brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, co-worker and life companion.
You were and are the epitome of the saying "larger than life."
Until we meet again, we will live on in your honor.
We will think of you every time we hear Jimmy Buffet, the Grateful Dead, Christopher Cross's, Ride Like The Wind, and Sailing and Yacht Rock Radio.
We will be with you, every time we ski, paddle board, swim in the ocean, and hike in the mountains. Every time we eat at a restaurant we know you would love.
We will be here, doing our best to live out the legacy you left us with.
We will be here, thinking of you, remembering you, toasting you, and loving you forever. Your laugh is on eternal repeat in our ears and in our hearts.
Every person who knew you and crossed paths with you is better off because of it.
To everyone who was lucky enough to know and love, Sean Micheal Foley, we hope you never forget him and keep his memory alive in your hearts and live life to the fullest in his honor. We hope you always smile and laugh when you think of him.
