Sean Christopher Howell passed away on June 19, 2025. He was born in New Orleans on June 7, 1966, and was a resident of Baton Rouge. He graduated from Catholic High School and Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Basic Sciences, and also graduated from The University of Louisiana Monroe with degree in Pharmacy. Sean worked as a pharmacist, a substitute teacher, and as a tutor. He had a great interest in science and horticulture. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Sean is survived by his parents, Joseph Kerry Howell, M.D. and Corinne Trout “Connie” Howell; brother, Todd Patrick Howell, M.D.; nephew, Grayson Alexander Howell; niece, Ashlynn Renee Howell; and aunt, Carol Moloney Howell.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lucien A. Howell, Sr., Juliet P. Howell, Horace I. Trout, Jr., and Omye V. Trout; and uncle, Lucien A. Howell, Jr.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Ethan Greenblatt and the doctors and nurses of the Baton Rouge General ICU.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
