Shannon Beth Dickman age 43 of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. She was born April 15, 1980, in Camden, New Jersey to Manuel and Dora Magana. She grew up in a military family, moving often most notably spending her elementary years in Augsburg, Germany.
Shannon enjoyed the arts - dancing, music, singing, theater. As a teenager she went to New York to see the Lion King returning home smitten by the theatrics of the show. She loved performing in school talent shows and always wowed the crowd with either singing or dancing.
Shannon was beautiful, talented and above all fearless, a gene which has been graciously passed down to her children. She was bold, audacious, and daring, never one to back down from a challenge. A passionate friend who would cheer you on and a defender of the underdog; she was a daughter, a mother, an aunt, a grandma, and a Veteran. She was many things to many people, and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her parents; friend for life, Kevin Dickman; daughters, Felicity Benavides-Boswell (Tyler) of Victoria, Katherine Dickman, and Isabella Dickman both of Beaufort, SC; sons, Mateo Benavides of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Kevin Dickman Jr. of Beaufort, SC.; and sister, Gina Magana-Benavides (Juan Roberto) of Fairbanks, Alaska.
She is also survived by one granddaughter, Helayna Dickman.
Visitation will begin Saturday. November 25th, 2023, 10am at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home Victoria. A Chapel Service will be celebrated at 11am. Full military service under the auspice of Victoria County Veterans Council. AL, CWV, DAV, MCL, MOWW, EX-POW, MOPH, WS, KWV, VVA.
Under the care of Angel Lucy's Funeral Home Victoria, 361-575-3212.
