Sharon Kay Mullen, 78, was born on October 10, 1946 to Thomas and Bonnie Fogal, in Auburn California. She was the second youngest of 10 children. Sharon passed away on February 20, 2025, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana with her loving daughters by her side. Sharon brought warmth and joy into the lives of all who knew her through her endless jokes and laughter.
Sharon was a woman whose presence could brighten the darkest room. Her infectious laugh and radiant smile were matched only by her boundless kindness and caring spirit. She had a remarkable sense of humor-witty, hilarious, and full of life-and she shared it freely with those around her. Her love for family and adventure was unwavering and deeply felt by everyone fortunate enough to be part of her world.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sandra and Tracy; her bonus daughter, Nicole; eight grandchildren-Michael, Zachary, Shawn, Tyler, Trentyn, Taryn, Derek, and Luke; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Sharon's legacy lives on through them and the countless memories they hold dear.
A creative soul at heart, Sharon found joy in painting and making the cutest crafts. She also loved camping-embracing the outdoors with the same enthusiasm she brought to every aspect of life. Whether gathered around a campfire or working on a new project with her hands, she approached each moment with passion and delight.
We will be laying her to rest on May 1, 2025, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery with her dearest husband Bill.
A Celebration of Life will follow at noon to 2pm at La Paloma Funeral Home located at 5301 Longley Ln Ste E-180, Reno NV, 89511. In honor of Sharon's memory please wear her favorite color lavender.
Sharon's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her. Her laughter echoes in their hearts, her love continues to guide them, and her spirit remains an enduring light in their lives.
We love you more than Bacon!
