Obituary
Sharon Lee Nix, age 76, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, gained her heavenly wings and transitioned home on October 2, 2023. She was born on May 18, 1947. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School and Roane County Vocational School. She held many talents and was employed at Tennessee Valley Authority, where she retired.
She was married to preceded Jerry Nix. She loved her family and friends dearly; they meant everything to her. She loved the Lord and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as her foundation and strength. She believed in celebrating every occasion, including holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, graduation, and achievements. She also enjoyed sewing and cooking.
She loved hard and gave all that she had. She always wanted others to feel loved; she had a heart of gold. She treated others the way that she wanted to be treated. She had the spiritual gift of encouragement; she would encourage you however you needed, even when she wasn't encouraged. She was a prayer warrior and believed in the power of prayer.
She always loved music and truly enjoyed praise and worship. She loved reading her bible and sharing the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a devoted member of Beulah Church of God Holiness of Knoxville and a former member of True Light Baptist Church; she was a loyal servant to God. She desired to please God in all things and was ready to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived fully and fought the good fight until God called her home.
She preceded in death by her mother, Edith Wilson and sister Jo Ann Lee. She is survived by her brother Archie Lee (Mary Emma) of California and two beautiful daughters, Daphne Lee Booth of Oak Ridge and Julie Rembert (Mike) of Southfield, Michigan.
Her family called her Momma Sharon. Momma Sharon leaves to cherish her everlasting love and beautiful spirit to her five grandchildren, Duran Lee, Semia Cole, Xavier Sanford, Skylar and Chloe Rembert. Eight great-grandchildren, Malik Newcomb, Danta Chapa, Zayden Spratling, XanDraya and Zylik Sims, Nyasiah, Azariah and Adream Sanford. One Godson, Charles Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the Jefferson and Milton families, and so many dear friends.
Now that she has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Sharon Lee Nix's (Momma Sharon) physical life on Earth, it's the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her.

Even though I did not know, Momma Sharon, just reading her obituary lifted me. I know she had to have been an inspiration to all because I can tell that she loved and was loved. Sincere condolences to the family. Momma Sharon is at peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

So many many fond memories of Sharon. Soo many. Her genuine caring personality is what I loved about Sis. Nix. Beautiful smile always willing to do for anyone. I am soo sad for this loss. I talked to her just before she left Tennessee
I said " when will you be back?" She said I don't know if I am coming back". Broke my heart. But God has all questions and answers. May the family know she was loved dearly in Knoxville. Greta

I have so many fond memories of my "sister Nix." We sat next to each other in the church choir, and we would tease each other every Sunday morning. I was always saying slick to her, and she always ready with a sharp comeback. I loved her lightheartedness and caring spirit. My heart is hurting knowing that she has left us, but I thank God because she is no longer suffering. May God bless and comfort her family and all who loved her during this difficult time.
