The family of Sharon Susan Ruth Schnars announces her unexpected passing on April 30th, 2025 at the age of 83 in Canton, GA. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and worked her first job at AC Spark Plug where she met her husband of 61 years, Clyde Schnars.
They had an adventurous life living in 9 different states spanning from New York to California. Sharon and Clyde made Georgia their home for the past 41 years. She worked for IBM and even after retirement kept busy working at Publix taking on the moniker of Fish Lady for a time. Sharon loved life and her family. She became very active in the Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed her Silver Roamers road trips and outings.
She loved decorating, planning family events and was a world class shopper. Sharon explored the world touching on 5 continents with her love of cruising. She loved taking care of her family and her beloved dog Willy. Her zeal and energy as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend will be greatly missed.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Ruth, Florence Bertling Ruth and her sister Gail Polenz. She is survived by her husband Clyde Schnars, her children Dr. Beth Schnars and Dr. John Schnars and her four grandchildren Ryan Crumpler, Jordan Crumpler, Rae Annah Schnars and Elijah Schnars.
She will be interred at Macedonia Memorial Park in Canton, GA with date of celebration of life to be announced. In lieu of flowers donations would be welcome to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Lupus Foundation.
