Sharon Elaine Ice Smith passed into heaven on April 8, 2024. Sharon age 71 of Copperas Cove, Texas was born July 24, 1952 in Fort Worth to the late Alton Desmond and Vesta Elaine Mann Ice. Sharon had 3 sisters and 1 brother. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a former member of Oak Hill Bible Church until she and Harvey retired to Cheyenne, Wyoming. They both loved their time in Cheyenne even through the wind and snow. Her brother-in-law said "Cheyenne is stuck in the 60's" and Sharon said "Isn't that wonderful!"
Our family lost an amazing woman when Sharon went to be with Jesus and her husband Harvey. She was such a special lady and such an important part of the Ice family. Our hearts are very sad. She was humble, selfless, sweet and always had a wonderful sense of humor. She was an amazing homemaker who loved baking bread and quilting. She was very creative as she made quilts when each grandchild, niece and nephew was born, putting a lot of work and love into each one. She was a faithful, Godly woman who loved Jesus fiercely.
Sharon held several jobs besides wife & mother outside her home at Travis County Probation Department, Wyoming Collection Agency Board and Central Texas College. Sharon also was the care giver for her Mom, Vesta, for over 10 years. She did a great job of ministry and service!
She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Smith and her parents Alton and Vesta Ice. Sharon is survived by her siblings Sandra & Mike Solimine, Barbara & Tom Rae, Brenda & Frank Estes and Thomas & Janice Ice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Harrell Funeral Home in Kyle and she will be laid to rest in Forest Oak Memorial Park in Austin, Texas.
