Sharon "Shay" Snyder, 74, of Mansfield, born May 28, 1950 passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, unexpectedly after a lengthy illness.

Shay was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. An alumni of the Madison "Class of 68" and The Ohio State University. A retired postal employee, Shay enjoyed knitting, crocheting, music (all types), and spending time with her family. Shay also enjoyed bird watching, fossil hunting, and gardening.

Shay is survived by (mother) Helen J. Schmidt of Pelham, GA; (son) Daniel "Dan" Snyder of Crestline; (son) Adam Snyder of Mansfield; (brother) Paul R. Cornish of Pelham, GA; (sister) Deb Zartman Boyer of Mansfield; (brother) Mark Zartman of Mansfield; (granddaughter) Meghan Snyder of Crestline; (niece) Michelle Boyer (Chris) Stock; and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her fathers, Paul Zartman Jr, and Jack Leo Cornish; and (son) Phillip Snyder.

She will be missed by all those who love and know her.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Galion VFW Post 4329, 229 S. Market Street, Galion, OH 44833. Shay will be interred in Mansfield Memorial Park in Ontario.

In lieu of flowers a donation to The Area Agency on Aging in Ontario, Ohio or a charity of your choice may be made.
