Sharry Swanson

Sharry Swanson of Aurora, Colorado died peacefully on Tuesday April 29th, 2025. She was born to Thomas and Hilda (Gerhke) Griffin on April 17, 1946.
She attended Greeley Central High School where she met Walter Swanson, whom she later married. Together they raised two children and experienced living on both coasts, spending several years in California and Virginia. However, Colorado always called them home.
Sharry was proud of her work. Throughout her career, she worked in healthcare revenue cycle management, started an artisan co-op, and had a card printing business. In her retirement, she worked tirelessly on the HOA Board in the community in which she lived.
Sharry was a bright soul. She was quick to make friends, and she loved to laugh. She also loved shopping, animals and Mexican food. In earlier years she would love to go out dancing with her friends and niece Jody. Over the years she kept in touch with many of her friends from high school and developed new ones in her Aurora neighborhood. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Kristin, and grand dog, Lily, and, talking on the phone every day with her sister, Marlys, and niece, Ashley.
She will be missed by many.
Survivors include her daughter Kristin (Rob) Reed, son Michael, 2 granddaughters, her sister Marlys Mitchell, and her sweet dog Zoey.
Sharry is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Walter Swanson, sister Shirley Mason, brothers Tom and Darrell Griffin.
