Sharyn L. Currie

Sharyn L. Currie, age 80, a resident of Naperville since 1986, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 25, 1945 in St. Louis, MO.
Sharyn is survived by her best friend and devoted husband of 46 years, Jim Currie; her loving daughters, Tammy Krcilek, Heidi Hendrickson, Wendy (Brad) Nagy, Jamie Zumbek, Mary (Jeff) D'Ambrosio, and Amy Schraeder; her cherished grandchildren, Taylor Wright, Ryan Hendrickson, Madison Hendrickson, John O'Hara, Emily Burridge, Cliff Moen, III, Colin Duffy, John Duffy, III, James Scharlau, Jordan Scharlau, Jared Scharlau, Noah Currie, Josephine D'Ambrosio, Alexander D'Ambrosio, Jacob Ory, Lani Schraeder, Harrison Schraeder, Houston Schraeder, Hayden Schraeder, and nine-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Alleen Brann, and her aunt and uncle, Betty and Walter Posden.
Sharyn loved traveling across Europe with her husband, Jim, especially to Italy, their favorite destination. She also delighted in caring for her backyard flower garden. Some of her happiest moments were spent taking long walks through the nearby forest preserves with their pets, Dolly Parton and Rover Rescue.
A celebration of Sharyn's life will be held at a later date.
