Shaun Emans Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ingram Funeral Home - Marysville on Sep. 18, 2024.
'The confidant, not cocky,' Shaun Tomas Emans, age 47, of Milford Center, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Memorial Hospital of Marysville. Shaun was born on August 27, 1977, in Marion, Ohio, to Mark D. and Elizabeth Joann "Jodi" (Terry) Emans. He grew up in Milford Center and attended Fairbanks High School, where he excelled in baseball, notably hitting four home runs in a single game.
After graduating, Shaun spent over 15 years working at Scott's Corporation, where he held various roles in maintenance, production, and sales. Most recently, he worked in the sales department at Univenture. Outside of work, Shaun was passionate about coaching his children's baseball and softball teams and practicing golf with his son, Devin. Shaun was well-known within the community for his many years of commitment to coaching baseball and softball. He also enjoyed canning vegetables from his father's garden, cheering on the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes, and listening to classic rock.
Shaun will be remembered for his sharp wit and straightforward, "smart-ass" attitude. He is survived by his mother, Jodi Emans; his children, Dalton, Devin, Kylee, and Baylee Emans; his granddaughter, Alayna Emans; his siblings, Shane Emans, Ryan (Andrea) Emans, and Kiel (Rebekah) Emans; and the mother of his children, Dawn Welch. He will also be greatly missed by his close friends, Rock Gibson, Gavin Hill, Jason Graver, Brian Rausch, and Wes Holbrooke.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark D. Emans.
Visitation will be held at Ingram & Snyder Funeral Homes, 975 N. Maple Street, Marysville, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Milford Center Cemetery.
Donations in Shaun's honor can be made to The Fairbanks Baseball Association in the care of Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home.
