Michael Shawn Dancer, age 44, passed away on July 5, 2024. He was born on December 7, 1979 in Nashville, Tennessee. Shawn is survived by daughters, Isabella Hope Dancer and Hallie Lane Dancer; mother of his children, Carrie Campbell; parents, Sheri and Darrell White; sister, Amber Cutrell (Tison Reaves); nieces, Kealey Cutrell and Emma Cutrell; grand-niece, Hunter Westwood; numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles; and many beloved friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Michael David Dancer. 

After graduating high school, Shawn proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After serving in the Marine Corps, he continued to participate in Veterans programs in the Nashville area. A man of the outdoors, Shawn enjoyed fishing, hunting, and other activities that allowed him to connect with nature. He had immense love for his family, friends, and especially his daughters and nieces. Shawn will always be remembered for his loud laugh and captivating big smile that could brighten up anyone’s day.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A private family inurnment will be held at Nashville National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project in Shawn’s memory.
