Sheila Ann (Nave) Shanes, 75, of Robinson, IL, passed away on Sunday December 4, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on July 20, 1947, to Carroll Dean and Mary Helen (McCrory) Nave. On September 21, 2019, she married Jeffry Shanes, who survives.
Sheila had worked at the Tyson Chicken factory near Oblong, IL and was also a homemaker. She was a member of Prior Grove Church. She enjoyed sewing, playing the piano, listening to gospel and country music, watching her grandchildren play ball. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Shanes, Robinson, IL; a son Kevin Eugene Stephens, Robinson, IL; daughters Debra Lynn Funneman and Angela Kay Rhinehart, both of Robinson, IL; ten grandchildren Jennifer Smith, Kacie Renee Smith, Brittany Nicole Smith, Chelsea Jo and Tommy Goad, Tommy Lee Rhinehart, Jason Rhinehart, Jeremy Rhinehart, Macie Stephens, Ashley Stephens and Andrew Stephens; thirteen great-grandchildren Koltan Goad, Lexie and Leyla Smith, Alex Goad, Haley Murdock, Willow Herlocher, Jaiden Myers, Marcy Goad, Timothy Goad, Caleb Rhinehart, Hazyl Rhinehart, Raylynn Moore, Reeslynn Moore and one great grandchild on the way. She is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law Randy and Mary Helen Nave, Annapolis, IL.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her first husband Earl Kamplain.
Celebration of Sheila's Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday December 9, 2022, at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M Friday at the funeral home.
