Shelia Ann Cliborne

CHESAPEAKE-Shelia Cliborne, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2024, at the age of 80. Shelia was born to the late Mildred J. Howard and John Howard on February 27, 1944, in Norfolk, Virginia, and passed away peacefully in Chesapeake, Virginia. Shelia was a dedicated worker, having spent many years as a seamstress before continuing her career in the food service industry. Her commitment to her work was only surpassed by her devotion to her family and faith. Shelia had a profound love for the Lord and her family, a passion that guided her throughout her life. A devoted mother and grandmother, Shelia raised seven children, three of whom were her grandchildren, with unwavering love and strength. Her nurturing spirit and selfless dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Shelia leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Patricia Cypher (Ray) and Christine Davidson (Doug); her sons, Tommy Thomas Jr. and John Thomas (Tammy). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Michael, Pam, Michelle, Robert, Joey, Jimmy, T.W., Tina, Michael, and Katlyn, and her 24 great-grandchildren.In addition, Shelia is mourned by her three dear sisters: Rita, Carolyn, and Debbie, who will miss her dearly.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Oman Funeral Home on 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. Her Funeral Service will be Saturday July 13, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at The Bridge Christian Fellowship, 1116 Hillwell Road, Chesapeake, Va 23322. She will be buried Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Colonial Grove Memorial Park, 3445 Princess Anne, Virginia Beach, VA.
