Sherri Lynn Grell

Sherri Lynn Veselak Grell, age 69, of Bellville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in Bellville.
Sherri was born on April 10, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harmon and Rachel Levy Veselak. She grew up and attended school in Woodland Hills, California. On July 7, 1979, Sherri was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard T. Grell, Jr. Together, they shared a life full of adventure, love, and devotion to their family.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Rick, of Bellville, their three sons, Shaun and wife Brooke of Bellville, Travis and wife Thais of Corpus Christi, and Kolbe and wife Catherine of Houston, along with her cherished grandchildren, Owen, Mary, Alexander, Kate, Bennett, Connor, and Grace. Sherri's mother, Rachel Levy, and her brother, Dr. Michael Veselak, and wife Pam of Camarillo, California, also survive her, along with extended family and many dear friends.
Sherri's life was marked by her many passions and the joy she found in her loved ones. An avid cook, she enjoyed preparing home-cooked meals and baked treats, hosting dinner parties at her home, and sharing her culinary talents with family, friends, and neighbors.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who took special care on holidays to create lasting memories, ensuring every celebration was filled with warmth, love, and cherished traditions. Sherri was also a devoted friend to many, nurturing long-lasting connections while also forming new ones.
Sherri was committed to her faith, strengthening her relationship with the Lord through weekly bible study. She was a loyal servant to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, where she served as the parish secretary and actively volunteered her time and talents to a variety of church initiatives. Her service to others and her church was unwavering, making a lasting impact on the congregation and the Bellville community.
Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Harmon, and stepfather, Ron Veselak, and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith.
Sherri's kindness and generosity to those she loved left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to be a part of her life. She will be remembered for her compassion, strength, and steady devotion to her family, friends, and faith.
