Sherry Lynn Matthews, born on December 4, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Donald DeClue and Linda (Gamble) DeClue, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Baisch Nursing Center at the age of 59.
Sherry led a simple life filled with love for her family and her dog, Batman. She enjoyed shopping and frequently switched out her wardrobe, always finding joy in new outfits. Her family meant everything to her, and she cherished the time spent with them.
Sherry is survived by her two sons, Phillip Wade and Tiger Gillette, along with five grandchildren: Aria Wade, Peyton Hedrick, Allison Hedrick, Jaxon Hedrick, and Colton Hedrick. She is also survived by her three siblings: Jeanette Harvey, Craig DeClue, and Joseph Becker. Sherry had a special niece, Roxie Hedrick (husband, Jeremy) and BJ Litton, and a nephew, Jesse Conway. Her loving companion, Russell Ames, also remains in her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Linda DeClue.
Sherry will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the warmth she brought to those around her. No formal services will be held at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to DeClue Funeral Home.
