Sheryl Denise Thompson

Thompson, Sheryl Denise, 66, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Sheryl was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very passionate about crafting and gardening. She will be dearly missed by many. Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Young. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Thomas "Tommy" Thompson Jr; son, Benjamin Thompson (Amanda); daughter, Leslie Thompson; granddaughters, Cameron, Ember and Jordyn Thompson; mother, Joanne Young of Greer, SC and siblings, Karen VonWalter of Greer, SC (Hans), Brian Young (Lori) of Plymouth, NC and Scott Young. Her memorial visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, April 12th at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. Her memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
