Shirlene Ann Thibodeaux Arceneaux, a resident of Geismar, LA passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 3:33 pm at Our Lady of the Lake Ascension Hospital. She was born on October 9, 1945, in Eunice, LA.
She was a member of Dutchtown Baptist Church.
Shirlene is survived by her children, Jerry L. Cooper (wife Kelly), Starla A. Arceneaux, and Michelle deVeer (husband David); grandchildren, Brandi Ourso (Dustin), Chase Wilkinson (Beth), Katie Denova (Garrett), Kassie Morgan (Ethan), and Kallie deVeer; niece, Wendy Benoit; great-grandchildren, Ethan Ourso and George Denova; great-great-nephew, Jaxon Dean Singletary.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Inez Thibodeaux; father, Oleat Thibodeaux; brother, Roger Dale Thibodeaux; and great-nephew, Justin Dean Singletary.
Visitation will be held at Dutchtown Baptist Church, 36495 C Braud Rd., Prairieville, LA 70769, Friday, August 29, 2025, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am in the church. Burial will follow at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park in Prairieville.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Pastor Leigh Rogers and all the members of the church who visited and prayed over her. Also, thanks to the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital for their loving care and support.
