Shirley A. Diven, 88, of Mifflintown died at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Greenwood Village in Lewistown. Born on February 6, 1937 in Spruce Hill Twp., Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late George Leahy and Margaret (Williamson) Leahy. On May 12, 1955, she married her late husband, James R. "Jim" Diven, Sr., with whom she shared nearly 59 years of marriage before his passing on May 3rd, 2014. She is survived by her children, James R. Diven, Jr. and his wife Jean, Larry E. Diven and his wife Lori, Pamela S. Specht, all of Mifflintown, Michael W. Diven and his wife, Kimberly A. Walmer, of Harrisburg; three brothers and three sisters, also she leaves behind 10 grandchildren,22 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mifflintown. Shirley loved crafting and enjoyed attending yard sales. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 12: 00 noon from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown with the Pastor Sean McGill officiating. Interment will follow in the Adams Cemetery, Mifflintown. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 noon Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the funeral home. For those who wish, memorial donations, in Mrs. Diven's memory, may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mifflintown, 23964 Route 35 North, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
