Shirley Jane Fishel, 76, of Stephenson, VA, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center.
Shirley was born June 29, 1948 in North River Mills, WV; daughter of the late Millner D. Leach and Bessie L. Moreland Leach. She married the love of her life, Roger L. Fishel, Sr., June 16, 1974 in Winchester. Before retirement, she was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of Little Mountain United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching her soap operas as well as fishing in her free time. She loved spending time with her sister at the Lake House as well as spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Tina Parsons and husband Kevin, of Stephenson and Tammy Mitchell, of Inwood, WV; step children, Kimberly Aguilar, and husband Alberto, of Front Royal, VA, Robin Howett, and husband Richard, of Winchester, Roger Fishel, Jr., of Winchester; twenty-three grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and sisters, Alice DeHaven, Mary Cooper, Virginia Golightly, and Betty Payton.
Along with her husband, Roger Fishel, Sr., Shirley was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Angela Fishel; and grandchildren, Ronald Milburn, III, and Gwynneth Fishel.
The family will receive friends Thursday May 8, 2025 and Jones Funeral Home in Winchester from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Brumback officiating. Burial will follow the service at Little Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Smith, Timothy Smith, Brandon Ashby, Timmy Ashby, Lance McCarty, and Kevin Parsons.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be left to Little Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery, 259 Little Mountain Church Rd, Winchester, VA 22603.
