Shirley A. Griffis, 90, passed away on September 16, 2025. She was born on September 4, 1935, to the late Earl Maine and Gertrude Walls.
Shirley was preceded in passing by her parents, Earl and Gertrude Maine; siblings, Phyllis Alley, and Earl Maine Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Griffis of 70 years; children, Sheila Griffis-Weidner, Bret (Pam) Griffis, Roxanne (Mike) McIntyre; grandchildren, Christina Boyer, Ryan Weidner, Amanda Osborn, Bret Griffis Jr., Trisha Gibson, Joshua Gibson; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sharon Reed, and Linda Korbinski.
Shirley lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and love. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping and shared many memories with her family. She also deer hunted for an incredible 60 years. Her and Bob would spend a lot of time together, when it comes to dancing or going on cruises. She enjoyed the thrill of the casino and the excitement of gambling. She and Bob shared an extraordinary journey together, taking 35 cruises around the world and building a lifetime of cherished memories.
Shirley's family will receive friends and family at the Hampton Funeral Home in Hillsdale on Monday, September 22, 2025, from 5:00pm until 6:30pm. Please visit www.hamptonfuneralhomes.com to sign the guestbook and/or send a condolence to the family.
