Shirley Clark Guerry went home to be with the Lord on May 5, 2025. She was a lifelong resident of Leesburg, FL born on August 31, 1936, to Frank Lloyd and Clara Esther (Smith) Clark. She attended First Baptist Church of Leesburg.
After graduating from Leesburg High School in 1954 Shirley attended cosmetology school in Ocala where she earned her license to become a hairdresser, a job that she dearly loved and was committed to for over 50 years.
Shirley married her high school sweetheart, Johnny, in June of 1956. They shared 65 years together until Johnny's passing in 2021. In addition to Johnny, she was preceded in death by her son John Michael "Mike" as well as her brothers Tommy and Dickie Clark.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Donna (Billy) Moye, sisters Susie Whitt, Martha Gail (Dicky) Huff, brothers Roger (Mary Lou) Clark and David (Carol) Clark. Sister-in-law Pat Tarr. Grandchildren Matt (Mandy) Kaylor, Shannon (Jesse) Haines, Ryan (Jessica) Moye and Cole Moye. Great Grandchildren Ava and Maddie Kaylor, Carter, Liz and Ben Moye and Graci, Colton and Leighton Haines, as well as many nieces and nephews and great lifelong friends that she cherished.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 24, 2025 beginning at 11 AM at the Leesburg Boat Club, 31 Dozier Circle, Leesburg, FL 34748.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to a charity of one's choice.
