Shirley Hart Obituary
She grew up in Dorchester as the daughter of Rose (Nicholson) & Charles Hart. She was the middle child. She graduated from St. Gregory's School in Dorchester.
Upon graduation Shirley started her career at the John Hancock. Upon retirement she began her second career at the Milton Public Library. She is predeceased by her sister, Barbara & her brother, Charles.
Shirley is survived by her niece, Ann-Marie Hart who she raised from infancy & her spouse Wendy Martyna of Falmouth. She is also survived by her sister, Alice Mungeam of Marlboro and her late husband, Lawrence Mungeam - the best brother-in-law ever!
Shirley has many nieces & nephews: Robert Hart, Kathy Flores & Gary Hart as well Scott & Tracy Mungeam. She was predeceased by her niece, Diana Hart.
She is also predeceased by her lifetime friends; Mary Wilson & Anne McDermott. Shirley had friends in every aspect of her life. Her best friend, Theresa Morrisey of Pembroke enjoyed 86 years of friendship.
Shirley's greatest joy was watching her granddaughter, Romey Hart-Martyna navigate life's challenges and celebrate all accomplishments.
A private burial will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
