Shirley Carol Huckabee, 90, of Moss Hill passed away June 27, 2025, at her daughter's home in Gary, TX surrounded by loved ones. She was born March 22, 1935, in Shreveport, LA to Thomas Alton and Ann Nona Levy Johnson. Shirley was a creative lady that took to sewing and painting with great talent. She also enjoyed flower gardening, watching the red birds and hummingbirds. Most of all she loved nothing more than her beloved late husband, Glen of 65 years and the family they created together. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Brenda Sue Johnson Hall-Lazarus; nephew, Monty Hall; son, Stephen Huckabee and his wife Becky Huckabee.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Cricket Ragan and husband Billy of Gary; sons, Tommie Huckabee and wife Donetta of Moss Hill, and Dennis Huckabee and wife Karen of Booneville, AR; nephew, Hank Hall, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of loving friends. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hawthorn Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.
