Funeral services for Mrs. Lee Ann Hawkins, 79, of Carthage, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 19, 2025, at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Littleton and Bro. John DePresca officiating. Visitation will be 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Hawthorns. Burial in the College Hill Cemetery will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2025, in Simms, Texas under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lee Ann Babor Littleton Hawkins was born September 4, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the oldest of seven children born to the marriage of Ann J. Holden and Jerome Babor. She completed high school and worked at the Red River Army Depot, retiring after many years as a civil servant. and went on to Seminary at the Texas Baptist Institute later in life and received her Associates of Bible degree.
She was a member of the Carthage Missionary Baptist Church. Lee Ann loved reading and studying the Bible, writing devotionals and spent her life encouraging and praying for peoples needs. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Sam Littleton and Carrol Hawkins; brother, Steve Babor and sister, Jeanette Babor Newland.
Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her three sons, Wade Dirr of Arizona, Jerry West and wife Linda of New Boston, and Michael Littleton and wife Susie of Carthage; brothers, Jerry Babor of New Boston, Dan Babor of Illinois, Joel Babor and wife Shiela of Florida; sister, Ann Wetherington and husband Dale of Georgia; grandchildren, Brian and Michael Dirr, Leigh Ann Perry, Noah West, Kaitlynn West, Emma, Anna, Lara, and Samuel Littleton and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
