Shirley Ann Jones

Shirley Ann McAdam Jones, 86, of Anderson, SC, was born on April 4,1939, in Ithaca, Michigan, to the late Lawrence A. and Addie Catherine McAdam. She passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025. When Shirley graduated from high school she went to work as an operator for Michigan Bell Telephone Company, and on June 20, 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Jones. While raising their children, she worked part-time as a coach and lecturer for Weight Watchers International, and later worked several years in Customer Relations with Cohoes Manufacturing Co. clothing store. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shirley found her greatest joy in creating a warm and loving home for her family. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her beloved husband, Paul Raymond Jones; children, Craig S. Jones (Bob), and Susan L. Willis (Tommy); grandchildren, Christopher P. Willis (Lauren), Amber P. Willis, and Joseph T. Willis; 6 great-grandchildren, and other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Melvin McAdam. Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Noelle Read. The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM prior to the service. A private family committal service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
