Shirley Kerchner, 88, of Wernersville, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Phoebe Berks. She was the wife of the late Donald G. Kerchner who passed away July 18, 2019.

Shirley, a daughter of the late Clarence D. and Mabel M. (Blatt) Miller, was born in North Heidelberg Township. She is survived by her daughter, Jody L. Kerchner, wife of Mark Parish; two brothers, Larry D. Miller, husband of Shirley, and Warren W. Miller; a sister, Elaine Dierolf; two sisters-in-laws, Dawn, wife of John Shearer, and Sandra, wife of Daniel Sweigart; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis H. and Davilla E. Miller.

She had her master's in education from Millersville University, having obtained her Bachelor of Science from Kutztown University. She taught 1st and 3drd grade for 34 years, having taught in the Wilson school district.

She was a member of St. John's (Hain's) UCC, where she taught Sunday School classes for children and adults and confirmation classes. She was an avid reader, baker, word searcher, and bingo player with her Phoebe friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 3rd, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hain's Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.lammandwitman.com
