Shirley Maxine Lehman, 95, passed away at Hermitage Nursing and Rehab in Hermitage, MO Friday, December 15, 2023.
She was born July 4, 1928, in Logan County, OH to Paul Davy and Anna Yoder.
She grew up on the family farm in West Liberty, OH and became a member of South Union Mennonite Church as a young girl. After graduating from West Liberty High School, she attended Goshen College for a year. Shirley worked at Herald Press in Scottdale, PA. After moving back to West Liberty, she was married to Daniel Ernest Lehman on August 24,1958. During their life together she was employed in various jobs in the West Liberty area as well as serving as Church Secretary and volunteering in various church functions.
In addition to her husband, Daniel Ernest Lehman, she was also preceded in death by her two sisters and their husbands, Jean and Frank Nelson and Carolyn and Allen Wilson; and her nephew, Richard Wilson.
Shirley is survived by her son, David and his wife Ruth; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services are planned for inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty in March of 2024.
