Shirley Diane Storer

Shirley Diane (Hale) Eldred Storer died October 3, 2024 in Centralia, Washington after a short illness. She was the only daughter of James Walter and Doris (Seward) Hale and had four brothers she cherished. She graduated from Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen, Washington, and married Edward LeRoy Eldred on December 6, 1963, adopting his daughter and son from a previous marriage. Ed and Shirley had one daughter in 1971 before divorcing in 1983. Shirley was fortunate to meet the second love of her life, Paul Storer, and they married in 1991. She and Paul were inseparable and together operated an antique store in Oakville, Washington for many years. She had a few close friends throughout her life, and one lifelong best friend, her cousin Judy, who stood by her to the very end. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, brothers Jack and Frank, and son James Edward Eldred. She is survived by Paul Storer, her daughters Deb and Gerelyn, stepdaughter Cynthia, brothers Jim (Nancy) and Jerry (Kim), cousin Judy, and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
