Shirley P. Zaucha, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on September 10, 1935, in Johnstown, PA, Shirley was the cherished daughter of the late Lester and Elizabeth Salsgiver (nee Nelson).
Shirley had an unwavering love for her family, which served as the foundation of her life. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and took pride in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her love for family, Shirley had a passion for shopping, often finding joy in little treasures that brought smiles to her and those she loved. Her vibrant personality and kind demeanor will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Shirley is survived by her devoted son, Stanley E. Zaucha; her grandsons, Stephen (Abbey) Zaucha and Stanley Jr. (Jennifer) Zaucha; and her great-grandchildren, Emma and Charlotte. She is also survived by her siblings, Duane and Elsie. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley S. Zaucha, with whom she shared 37 wonderful years of marriage, as well as her daughter-in-law, Nina Zaucha grandson, Michael Smolira, great-granddaughter, Samantha Smolira, and five siblings.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, located at 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake, OH 44095.
