Shoney Maria Perry, 60, of Meridian, passed away on the morning of Monday, February 24, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Shoney was born to Orville and Janice (Summers) Perry in Mobile, AL on March 29, 1964. She will be remembered as being a free-spirited loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Shoney enjoyed Alabama Football, spending quality time with her grandchildren, her classic rock music, especially The Rolling Stones, and loved all animals. She was also an excellent cook and baker but loved her Little Debbie Cakes. Shoney will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her Chihuahua, Bubba.
Shoney was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Janice Perry; her sister, Lisa Browning; her brother, Johnny Perry; her niece, Brittany Browning; and her nephew, CJ Browning.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Nichole Knapp, Heather Timmons, and Tiffany Summers; her son, Chris Timmons; her sister, Anita Fowler; her special cousin, Michael Ritchie; her best friend, Patricia Norwood; along with a legacy of thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will have a private service at a later date to celebrate Shoney’s life and memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made in Shoney’s honor to Roadside Rescue Network or to a favorite charity of your choice.
