Sonja Gail Salyers

Sonja Gail Salyers, 71, of Catlettsburg, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at her son's residence in Covington, Ky. Sonja was born December 29, 1953 in Ashland to the late Carlos Hutchinson and Sena Gullet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse Donavin R. Salyers. Sonja was the co-owner of R&D Associates in Catlettsburg. Those left to cherish her memory are, her son, Bradford Salyers and his wife Melissa of Covington, her daughter, Misty Salyers-Dunford and her husband Bradley of Lexington, two brothers, Roger Hutchinson of Ashland, Dallas Hutchinson of Ashland, a sister, Joy Cheek and her husband Ed of Lexington, five grandchildren, Miranda Weidner and her husband Robert, Cameron Salyers, Savanna Akers and her husband Jacob, Hayden Salyers, Quentin Hewlett, and two great grandchildren, Kingston Akers and Salem Akers. Funeral services for Sonja will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Webster officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from Noon until service time at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Catlettsburg Cemetery.
