Ralph E Blair

Ralph E. Blair, 95, of Ashland, Kentucky, widower of Joy Mae Helton Blair, passed away Friday, October, 3, 2025 at South Shore Nursing and Rehab. He was born Saturday, January 25, 1930, a son of the late Harry and Lottie Fraley Blair. Ralph was a member of the Calvary Episcopal Church, and retired as a deputy sheriff of Boyd County and from Gibson Brothers Furniture. In addition to his parents and wife, Joy, to whom he was married for 58 years, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Beecher Blair, Russell Blair, and Robert Blair; and a great-great-granddaughter, Celine Haven Childers. Ralph is survived by a son, Michael (Doris) Blair of Raceland, Kentucky; grandchildren Michael L. Blair, Katy Blair, Heather (John) Athearn, and Brian Blair; great-grandchildren Collin (Jessica) Childers, Emily Switt, Christopher Switt, Sarah Athearn, Faith Athearn, Maxx Bierenga, and two great great grandchildren, David Christian Andrew Childers and Aiden Michael. A funeral service for Ralph will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, October 6, 2025 at the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
