Sonna Chandler, age 88, of Gallatin, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

She was born on June 27, 1937, in Danville, Illinois. Sonna was a homemaker all her life; she was completely devoted to her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. Sonna’s memory will be treasured, and she will be deeply missed. May she rest in peace.

Sonna Lee (Staley) Chandler is survived by her sweetheart and life partner of many years, David Smith; children, Jody Fay Johnson, Terry Lee Chandler, Kathy Sue Chandler, Tony Ray Chandler; grandchildren, Randy Chandler, Virgil Graham, Anthony Wayne Graham, William Scott Bradshaw, Steven Christopher Bradshaw, Cody Lee Walker, Justin Corey Chandler, Kara Kristina Annette Chandler; 6 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Thelma, Dorothy, Charlotte, and Linda.

She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Staley; mother, Mildred Victoria (Harris) Staley; brothers Chuck Staley, Dale Staley, Richard Staley.

Funeral services will be held at Crestview Funeral Home on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. and continue until time of service at 1:00 P.M.

Pastor Harold Carmen will be officiating. Burial in Crestview Memory Gardens will immediately follow the funeral service.
