Stanley Allen Dickson, age 88, peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 8, 2022. He was born October 28, 1934 in New Concord, Ohio to Dwight and Ruth (Klein) Dickson.
Stanley graduated from New Concord High School and enlisted in the National Guard. His was an electrician by trade and a member of the IBEW #1105 for 65 years. Stanley was a lifetime member of the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church where he served as a trustee. Stanley attended church regularly with his wife, Janet Dickson, who were married for 50 years.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, parents Dwight and Ruth Dickson, brother Francis Dickson, brother-in-law, Dave Lashley and sister-in-law Marilyn Williams, a nephew B.J. Tom, and a niece Corrine Sowards.
Stanley is survived by his daughter Cynthia (Jerry) Piszczek; sons Paul Dickson and Robert (Sarah) Dickson; a sister Judith Lashley, sister-in-laws, Becky (Mohammad) Mahmoud and Robin (Joe) Tom; brother-in-law Tom Williams. Stanley has 9 grandchildren, Melissa Piszczek, Jeremy Piszczek, Nick (Jenelle) Piszczek, Amanda (Alex) Samochin, Ben Piszczek, Chelsea Piszczek, Allison Dickson, Erin Dickson and Abigail Dickson; 7 great-grandchildren, Nico Piszczek, Baeliee Piszczek, Ella, Serina, Weston, and Nash Samochin, and Camden Jennings.
A graveside service will be observed in honor of Stanley's life at the Bloomfield Cemetery beside the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church on December 12, 2022, at 11 am.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Shrivers Hospice for the exceptional care that was provided to Stanley. Your care and kindness will not be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Shrivers Hospice of Zanesville (601 Underwood Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701) or the Ballantine Scholarship Fund at the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church (1800 Bloomfield Road, New Concord, Ohio 43762).
