Stanley “Stan” Maurice McClain, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024. Born on December 22, 1953, in Dallas Texas, Stan was the life of the party and never met a stranger.
Stan is survived by his loving wife, Laura McClain; his daughter, Amanda Chen and Husband Felix of Spring Texas, stepsons, Sean James and wife Brandi of Fate Texas and Chris James and wife Stephanie of Lavon Texas; and his grandchildren, Nora, Felix (Buddy), and Max Chen, Christopher, Mikah, Alyssa, Jesse & Tucker James, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his father Donald McClain, mother, Carla McClain, and his beloved uncle Maurice (Jack) McClain.
Stanley graduated from Garland High School and went on to have a career in motorcycle mechanics.
In his free time, Stanley enjoyed playing dominos, listening to music and visiting with his countless friends.
Some of Stan’s favorite memories were made at the Domino Shack and judging the annual chili cook off.
A viewing will be held on Friday September 13, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home located at 2925 Fifth St. Sachse Texas 75048. The funeral service will be held on Saturday September 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM, followed by interment at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery at 3650 Merritt Rd. Sachse Texas 75048.
Stanley will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
