Stanley Wilson Pangle Jr. ("Stan the Man"), 80, of Stephens City, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025. A graduate of Loudoun County High School; he served honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, demonstrating commitment and leadership throughout his life.
Stan was a longstanding member of the Gideons, dedicated to spreading hope through Bible distribution. He was passionate about sports, coaching various sports teams to include softball and basketball, and cheering for the Washington Commanders and Nationals. A devoted member of Camp of Faith Church, Stan was known for his unwavering willingness to help others and his deep commitment to family and faith.
Stan is survived by his four children Anthony Pangle, Bryan Pangle, Ashley (Andrew) Frederick, and Tara (Daniel) Chartier, and former spouse Tammy Pangle, whom he shared two daughters; as well as five grandchildren (Savanah, Matthew, Lily, Yvonne & Garnett), and his brother Larry Pangle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Wilson Pangle Sr. and Evelyn Mable Beales, and his wife Zadiee Hoffman Pangle.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 1st at Camp of Faith Church in Stephens City. The family will receive friends for a viewing from 1:00-2:00 PM, with the service following at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in the family's name, to the VA Medical Center in recognition of the compassionate care provided to Stan over the past decade.
