Stanton M. Browne, age 78 of Glennville joined his spiritual family on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Hospice Savannah. He was born on August 9, 1947 in Johnson City, TN to Julian and Violette Stanton Brown. Stanton honorably and proudly served his country in Vietnam while in the US Navy; Desert Storm/Desert Shield while in the US Army. He continued his service to his country as a Department of Defense employee at multiple military installations, last serving at Fort Stewart, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Browne; half siblings, Julian Mathews Brown, Jr., Elizabeth Wheeler Brown Carr, George Creighton Brown and Sue Marcia Brown Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Browne of Glennville; brothers-in-law, Howard (Janice) and their son, Bryan (Stacey) and their children, Gabe and Brynn; Jack (Beverly) and their daughters, Amber and Brooke and their children, Nyla, Ethan, Scarlett and Lily; cousins: Christa, Kerry (Cindy) and their sons, Caleb and Kyle. Surviving also are his "honor families" Jerald and Janelle and their children; and Shannon and Peter.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
