Ms. Starr L. Lewis, age 67, of Harrington, Delaware passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Wilmington Hospital Accentcare Hospice, Wilmington, Delaware.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware, a daughter of Gladys June Schetromf and Kermit Richard Lewis, Sr. she was one of seven children. She graduated from Wilmington High School in Wilmington Delaware.
Prior to retirement, she was owner and operator of Shining Star Cleaning, LLC. In her career, previously she had been employed as a real estate property manager and a law firm's paralegal for many years.
Starr was an avid billiard player, formerly ranked in amateur leagues in both Delaware and Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member of the American Poolplayers Association and enjoyed traveling to the Annual World Pool Championships over the years. Starr had an extensive collection of trophies and awards from her successful winning style. In her later years, Starr loved to spend time with arts and crafts projects and even began ceramic painting. She loved gardening and enjoying the beauty and style of the various flowers in her gardens. Starr especially loved and enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her late parents, Starr was preceded in death by her two sisters, April June Lewis, and Melody Ann Gretz; her brothers, Michael S. Lewis and Darren L. Lewis. She is survived by her children, Charles H. Adkins and Christopher J. Pruitt (Kate); her grandchildren, Jordan (Alyssa), Savanah, Cody and Makayley ; her sister, Dawn D. Walter; and her brother, Kermit R. Lewis Jr., and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services. Services are private.
Memorial contributions in Starr's memory and honor may be made to St Judes Hospital for Children.
