A native of Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of Janet Reeps and Randy Knighton.
Stephanie enjoyed crafting but her greatest passion was volunteering at her daughter's schools. Whether it was planning a class party, chaperoning a field trip, or serving as a PTA officer, she joyfully served wherever needed. Finally, Stephanie found her calling in life as she worked as a substitute teacher at Woodmont High School. Her warm presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her impact reached far and wide throughout the Woodmont High School family.
In addition to her parents, left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 34 years, David Mahaffey; as well as her three daughters, Brittany, Laura, and Heather Mahaffey.
A memorial service will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Stephanie's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication that will never be forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.

Sorry to hear of your loss - Stephanie was always willing to jump in and help at the HS Store. I enjoyed seeing her thrive as a substitute teacher and she had a passion for kindness and knowing the students. She will be missed.
