Stephen Michael "Mike" Eifrid, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 6th 2022 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving mother Beverly Eifrid; cherished daughter Sara (Andrew) Flanagan and sons Stephen (Carrie) Eifrid and Kenneth (Joy) Eifrid; beloved grandchildren Payton, Riley, JJ, Patsy, Charlie, Rosie, Georgie, Eric and Caroline; past spouse and
life-long friend Carole Eifrid; dear brothers Tim (Kathy) Eifrid, Mark (Jola) Eifrid and sister Patricia Countryman; Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Eifrid. He was also a beloved uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Mike proudly spent his professional career as an attorney in downtown Chicago. He loved nature and the outdoors and spent as much time as he could at the dog park walking his dog Wilson and visiting with friends. He was an avid fisherman, practical jokester, Chicago sports fan, and rock and roll enthusiast. Mike was the life of the party-he never failed to make you laugh and put a smile on your face.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20th 2022 from 9:00 am until the time of memorial service beginning at 10:00 am at Edgebrook Lutheran Church, 5252 W. Devon Ave. Chicago, IL 60646. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation Mission. https://www.garridostrayrescue.org/
