Stephen M. Hake, Sr., 72, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at his home in New Bloomfield, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 26, 1953, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Stephen was the son of the late Lawrence and Reba Kathrine (Miller) Hake. He attended East Pennsboro High School and turned his lifelong passion for cars into a successful career. A talented mechanic, Stephen owned and operated Hake's Autobody Garage for more than 20 years while also working at the Navy Depot. Everything Stephen did, he did for his family - always working hard to provide and care for those he loved.

Stephen was a devoted member of Roseglen United Methodist Church, where he deeply cherished the sermons of Pastor DeAnn Newhouse. His faith and love for the Lord were both beautiful and unwavering.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures - taking motorcycle rides, driving along scenic back roads, enjoying beach trips, and spending time with his faithful companion, Angel. Most of all, Stephen loved being with his family; they were his greatest happiness and source of pride.

Stephen is survived by his children, Stephen M. Hake, Jr. and partner Alayna Duplessie, Stephanie Engle and partner Christopher Collier, Angela Hake, and Michael Restagno; his brother, Marty Hake; his sister, Jayne Shaffer and husband Michael; and his beloved grandchildren, Braedyn Hake, Tegan Engle, Shayda Engle, Ayana Engle, Taylin Engle, Stephen M. Hake III, Kadyn Hake and Gracelyn Trombley.

He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 25 years, Tammy Hake, and his beloved son, Sean Hake.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Stephen and Tammy are now reunited once again, to love one another for eternity.
